What is it about the different music video that allows you to identify the Genre ?

- To start off, every single music video belongs to a genre and has its specific characteristics that are identified through the music video to show which genre it belongs to. For instant, a Pop music video would have a specific characteristic of a narrative based video along with the artist playing a part of the story which allows them to show off their other talents such as acting. Moreover, the themes for this genre would be about love, romance, break up etc. Unlike Hip-hop, this genre would have a specific characteristic of a performance based video showing off the artist's wealth such as women, money etc along with the upbeat, high tempo sound.

- Genre is the term for any category of literature or other forms of art or entertainment e.g music, whether written or spoken, au-dial or visual based on some set of stylish criteria.

Audience

- The viewers react differently towards different music genre simply because the like or dislike the genre. For instant, young teenager would enjoy pop, Rnb and Hip-hop because it is quite upbeat, high tempo and is suitable to the younger age as they are excited, carefree and is growing up. Whereas, adults might dislike Hip-hop and Rnb and might enjoy listening to Country and Jazz simply because the music is more mature and is more calm and relaxing for them to release their stress after along hard working day.

- It is very important for the audience to be able to identify the characteristics of music genres so that they have a better understanding of what they are listening to and also allowing them to identify their favourite music genre and what the genre includes or provides.
